Just landed in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. On assignment with the foundation of FC Barcelona we will travel six different countries around the world to document the impact of the work they develop around the globe supporting education and values of youth at risk.
Opening of my new exhibition "Nomadas", a project together with writer Martin Caparros and director Jorge Martinez about the life of the nomad tribes of the Sahel. Will be on display first in La Fabrica gallery in Madrid until february 21st, then on a tour in different cities of Spain. This exhibition have been designed by Maria Jou Sol.

On assignment with the municipality of Santa Coloma de Gramanet, Barcelona, together with Maria Jou Sol, we designed a serie of "actions" in public spaces in the city. Cropping refugees from our photographs and printing them in real size to past them in the streets. Also a serie of video projections with steady cameras in different points of the refugee European route were projected in different places of the city, trying to transport the persons who watch the videos into the reality of the refugees.
Together with Maria Jou Sol we have exhibited our cooperative project on refugees : "Refugees their testimonies", during the festival Gabriel Garcia Marquez de Periodismo in Colombia. I´m delighted to announce the presentation of our new movie "Nomadas". A cooperative project with director Jorge Martinez, and writer Martin Caparros together with my photographs we documented the lifes of the last nomads of the Sahel.

I´m delighted to announce that I have been awarded with the Ortega y Gasset award for my work on the refugee crisis. I´m receiving a prize of 15.000 euros and the ceremony will be held in Madrid on May 5th.
The exhibition showing my last project "On The Banks of the Nile" is now open to public at San Telmo museum in San Sebastián, at the Basque Country.

This project is included in 2016, San Sebastian- Donosti European Capital of Culture and was funded by the BBVA foundation.
This coming wednesday will be the opening of my last project in Egypt "On The Banks of The Nile" at the San Telmo Museum in San Sebastian, in the Basque Country.
This exhibition includes a serie of images I have been taking since 2011 in the country, including a recent journey in 2015-2016, trying to document the Egyptian society.
It was funded by the BBVA foundation.

I´m delighted to announce that I have received the Nikon Award of Photography this year for my coverage on the Refugee Crisis published on catalan newspaper Diari Ara. I´m receiving a cash prize of 6.000 Euros. Thanks to all the people at Nikon Spain.
